Terms & Conditions

1. Eligibility
1.1 Trial classes are open to children and adults.
1.2 Parents/guardians must complete a registration form prior to the trial.

2. Booking and Cancellation
2.1 All trial classes must be booked in advance.
2.2 Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled class to allow rebooking.

3. Safety and Conduct
3.1 Students must follow all instructions provided by the instructor during the class.
3.2 Students must wear comfortable, appropriate clothing (e.g., sportswear) and remove any jewellery before participating.
3.3 Long hair must be tied back, and fingernails/toenails should be kept short for safety.

4. Liability
4.1 Parents/guardians acknowledge that martial arts is a physical activity with inherent risks. By participating in the trial class, parents/guardians accept these risks on behalf of their child.
4.2 The club is not responsible for any personal injury or loss of personal belongings during the trial class.

5. Behaviour Expectations
5.1 Students must be polite and respectful to instructors and fellow participants at all times.
5.2 Disruptive or unsafe behaviour may result in the student being asked to leave the class.

6. Trial Class Limitations
6.1 Trial classes are for new students only and are limited to one per individual.
6.2 Participation in a trial class does not guarantee a spot in the regular program, as spaces are subject to availability.

7. Health Declaration
7.1 Parents/guardians must inform the instructor of any medical conditions, allergies, or injuries that may affect the student’s ability to participate in the class.
7.2 If the student is feeling unwell, they should not attend the trial class.

8. Photography and Media
8.1 Photography or video recording by parents/guardians during the trial class is not permitted unless authorised by the instructor.
8.2 The club may take photos or videos for promotional purposes. If you do not wish your child to be included, please notify us in writing before the trial class.

9. Data Protection
9.1 The personal information provided during registration will only be used for class administration and will be handled in accordance with the club’s privacy policy.

10. Acceptance of Terms
10.1 By booking a trial class, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these terms and conditions.

Thank you for booking your free trial class with YAMA.
Please aim to arrive 5–10 minutes early so we can get you set up and ready to train. Wear something comfortable, as your first session will be active.

We train barefoot, so no footwear is needed, and please remember to bring a drink with you.
